CALDER - PICASSO

February 19 - August 25, 2019

Alexander Calder (1898-1976) and Pablo Picasso (1881-1973) – two of the most seminal figures of the twientieth-century art – innovated entirely new ways to perceive grand themes. While the dialogue between them is filled with endless possibilities, a vital connection can be found specifically in their exploration of the void, or the absence of space, which both artists delineated from the figure through to abstraction.
